City seeks applicants for diversity committee

The city of Sunnyvale announced Wednesday it is recruiting city residents and workers for its Cultural Diversity Advisory Committee.

The internal advisory group works with city staff on issues of cultural diversity and helps staff identify matters that might present obstacles to effective communications, according to the city.

The committee also advises staff on how to promote and create educational programs that focus on diversity and work collaboratively with community groups.

To be eligible for the committee, applicants must live or work in Sunnyvale. Applications must be received by the city by Sept. 12.

For more information or to download an application, visit Diversity.Insunnyvale.Com or call Community Resources Manager Patricia Lord at 408-730-7477.
