Photo of bank robber released
Police are looking for a man who was caught on surveillance cameras robbing a San Mateo Wells Fargo Bank branch Saturday.The white man in his late-40s to early-50s walked into the bank in the unit block of 17th Avenue around 12:15 p.m. Police said he gave a teller a note demanding money but never showed a weapon.
The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect walked out of the bank, said police.
Officers were dispatched to the bank and searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect.
Police describe the suspect as standing between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 10 inches, with a slim build, 130-140 pounds. He has gray hair and a black and gray goatee and was seen wearing sunglasses, a black baseball hat with a white logo and a white and gray shirt.
