Dr. and Mrs. Gary A. Fry of Palo Alto, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 31.
Gary and Karen met at the Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., in December 1957 while just starting their careers in the medical field.
"I saw those beautiful green eyes from her surgery mask and knew I wanted to date her," Gary said. After three dates, Gary proposed, and they married five months later at the First Baptist Church in Rome, N.Y.
Gary and Karen's life together is a wonderful testament of a great marriage: mutual love, respect, good communication, admiration, and perseverance. Additionally, they have shared this special relationship with their three children Jon, Lisa and Stephen.
The Frys celebrated in Seattle, with daughter Lisa and her family, along with a family reunion and anniversary party in Lake Tahoe this summer.
