Fagundes mark 70th anniversary
Henry and Veronica Fagundes, of Mountain View, celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on April 14.Born in Rapid City, S.D., Veronica, 89, is a mother and homemaker. She also enjoys interior decorating and ballroom dancing.
Henry, 90, was born in San Francisco. He worked in aviation and then for NASA. When he retired, he owned AERO TV.
The couple met at a dance hall in San Diego in 1936.
Veronica, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 1993, and Henry are the parents of Henry R. Fagundes Jr., Patricia A. Fagundes and Kathleen J. Baker. They have seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
